Beliefs ... empowering and pulls backs

This article is my personal account on how I shifted my thoughts a little, thereby I could achieve something which I perceived as impossible. It is often we and our self limiting thoughts and beliefs that stops us from being the unstoppable.


Whenever I used to see my NLP friend Prashanthi doing a head stand or my mountaineer friend Mallika Ranjan doing one on the mountains, I used to tell myself ... I can never do this!!


I could never to this before because I never tried ... And I never tried because I believed from the core of my heart that I can never do it!


This was a self limiting belief. Unknowingly what we say to ourselves forms our beliefs. Some can be empowering and some can pull us back. We often are our greatest barrier, our thoughts are often preventing us from being unstoppable.


While a chitchat with Prashanthi over some Ragi Dosa this weekend, I brought this topic to her on how she can manage to do the headstand so comfortably. She told me the tactics and told that I too can do it. I decided to give it a go. What max may happen is I will not be able to do that. The world won't go upside down if I fail. Fear of failure was gone and I prepared my mind to try it whatever it may be.


Yesterday, I tried and I could do the headstand.




Of-course I fell once out of the 7 times I tried. That fall taught me how to balance. Rest 6 took it to perfection and gave confidence.

From something what seemed impossible was made possible!

  • What stops you from doing what you want to do?

  • What self talk are you doing unconsciously/subconsciously?

  • What are your self limiting thoughts?

  • What are the barriers you created for yourself?

Come, it's time to break the barriers ... it's time to shatter the self limiting beliefs

Break free!!!
